Want some brownies???
Want some? So do I. My friend Carole put cookies on hers and I stole her idea. Hope you don't mind. I don't have time to post anything big, working way too much, so I decided to post this to share with all of you. These brownies look so good. Maybe looking at treats instead of eating them will help me. Maybe if I look at a treat long enough I will feel like I ate it. I'm addicted to treats!!!! Where is the veg's? Treats sound so much better. I wish it was warm outside so I could run 49 miles to run all these off. Hope I did not tempt anyone. Ha Ha!

A Million Dollars!!!
This is my Grandma at the hospital with all her stuffed animals we got her. Here is a picture of all my sisters and Mom and our wonderful Grandma. Today we went to see her and brought her all those bears and some flowers. We had such a fun visit and laughed alot. She is doing alot better, but still has a few months of recovering to do. When we were about ready to leave we asked her if we could bring her anything back later like a treat or something, and she thought for a min then said.."I can think of something right now... A million dollars" We all burst out laughing. We really thought she would says some kind a treat. She is so funny even when she is in pain. She also talked about the "cremated" hamburger they brought her with no tomatoes. She always says some funny phrase to make us laugh. We have a whole list of her sayings and we laugh when we say them. I just love her to pieces. She keeps everyone laughing.
This is our second visit and we brought her a card with play money inside saying it was a million dollars. She was in alot of pain and seeing that play money made her smile. She thought it was so funny. It's been good to be down here in St. George to visit her. I think it has lifted her spirits and made her feel better. We are going to see her again tomorrow and bring some meals to put in her freezer for when she gets home. I wonder what other crazy funny thing she will say tomorrow. I just love her so much. It's been hard to see her in pain. She is 85, but she acts so much younger and is so spunky.

A break from my 3 jobs! YEAH!
This is my Grandma who lives in St. George and she fell 2 sundays ago walking into church and she broke 3 ribs and is still in the hospital. My mom and all my sisters are going down this Sat and Sunday to help her and make up meals for her to put in her freezer, and clean her house. She is the best Grandma in the world! I just love her to pieces. She is in her 80's and she is spunky and funny. This fall has really set her back and I hope this visit will be good for her and boost her spirits, plus I need a break from all my jobs. I feel really guilty going to St. George without my family cause that's the place we used to go, and we have not been on a family vacation in like 2 or 3 years. We can't all aford to go, so I decided to just go cause my Mom and sisters are going too. I'm just looking forward to seeing her and visiting with her and helping her get well and make things easier for her. I just love her so much. I hope sometime soon we can go as a family to visit her because she misses all the kids.

I'm still here, just working ALOT!
Work, work, work, that's all I have been doing EVERY day. One day I worked 18 hours at 3 jobs! The other days have been about 10 hours. I started at 5:30 am and ended at 12 midnight. I am grateful for the work and it came at the best time, when we need it. I am tired and I am looking forward to just sitting down to read today or SLEEP. This is a short post and I probably won't be able to post for awhile, but I'm still here. I have not had time to look at all of yours and comment on them, so sorry. I will soon. Love ya all.

Snowman fun!!!!!!!
After school I was shoveling snow on our driveway and Parker came home and grabbed a shovel and started helping me without being asked. WHAT! Then I asked him to build me a snowman and he said he would. I finished the driveway then I decided to join him in building a snowman which I have not done with him since he was a kid. I had to take pictures. We had so much fun! Building our snowman. Now we have 3 in our yard. Parker tried to make a hat out of snow.

Got PIE anyone?
Does anyone want a piece of PIE?(Persuadeth, Inviteth, Enticeth) It's really good.
I'm so glad my older sister put this on her blog and I wanted to share it with all of you because I think it's a good thing if there is a balance in all we do. So here it is....
From my sister, Shelley Owens blog:
In defense of my family, friends, and the whole blog-writing community, I have to share what we talked about in my Sunday School class that I taught last Sunday. Our discussion was on Moroni 7 where Mormon talks about the way to judge whether something is of God or of the devil.
"But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God" (Moroni 7:13).
"For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge: for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God" (Moroni 7:16).
"But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him" (Moroni 7:17).
We discussed an easy acronym to remember how to judge: PIE (Persuadeth, Inviteth, Enticeth). I asked one of the kids if his playing the cello invites him to think of Christ, and he said yes, definitely. We talked about how to judge music, books, DVDs. We talked about the ways we spend our time and how there needs to be a balance. Sometimes, even if something is good, it could lead us down the wrong path if we spend so much time doing it that we neglect our other responsibilities.
So then I brought up blogging. My co-teacher immediately jumped on it and said, "Now, what is a blog, really?" We all told her that a blog is like a journal online, a place for you to record and share your thoughts. She said, "What a complete waste of time!
"I told her that I wanted to share my family's and my experience with blogging that I promised would change her view. I started off by asking, "Does blogging persuade, invite, and entice me to think of Christ? Yes it does, and I'll tell you why.
"I then proceeded to explain how blogging has changed our family, how it has brought us closer together as a family. I told about the "Let Him In" challenge and how touched I have been as I have read my sisters' blogs and their experiences with letting Christ into their lives during the Christmas season. I told of the Gratitude posts and how it made everyone more grateful for their blessings. Did writing and reading those posts help us to think more of Christ? Yes. Did it ever entice us to not believe in Christ or to deny him or to not serve him? No.
I also explained how it has made me feel closer to my sisters and mom. Before blogging (BB), first of all, I hardly knew anything that was going on in the family, much less knew anyone's deep spiritual feelings. I felt sort of disconnected to the family, being the only one up here and everyone else down there. After blogging (AB), I feel a special closeness to everyone and am really getting to know my family in a more personal way.
Is this blogging technology from God? Yes.
Does it encourage families to be closer? Yes.
Does it persuade us to believe in Christ? Yes.
Does it invite us to do good? Yes.
Does it entice us to love God and serve him? Yes.
And there you have it--PIE!
So I just wanted to thank all of you who have risked putting your feelings out there online, for your words that have inspired me, for all of your kind words in your comments, and most especially for your love. Keep on blogging! PIE! From SHELLEY(my awesome sister).
My sister Shelley wrote this in such perfect words I just had to copy and paste it because I loved it and wanted to share it with you. I hope you don't mind I did this Shelley.
She also reminded us that blogging can be bad if we neglect other important things in our lives like reading the scriptures too. Doing all these post about "Let Him In" and the "Gratitude" post has brought me closer to all of you and I think of Christ more and how to "Let Him In". I feel I am a stronger person and my testimony has been straightened because of reading all these post from others and making my own.
Another post about a word will be coming up to so watch for that.
People sometimes say that blogging is bad because anyone can read your blog. Complete strangers and you don't know who they are... well if we have good things on our blog then I think it's good to share it with strangers because who knows, it could change their life forever for the good. I ditto what my sister says... Keep on blogging! PIE! Love all you guys

The COOLEST blanket ever!!!!!!!!!
This is the best Christmas gift we got from our kids this year. They spent like 2 hours in Haley's room one night and would not let us in. Haley had her Dad take her to the fabric store(She did not tell him what it was for) and get the material and then they tied it and Parker had the idea to stitch their names and Merry Christmas and the year in it. I totally love it! It's so cool! I love the colors too. I was wondering why Haley asked what my favorite colors were. I said blue, red and green. It made me feel good that they put so much time into this and it's so personable. I love our kids, they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I waited till today to put a new post on my blog because I realized that in 2008 it says I did 49 posts. That's my favorite number I say all the time and so I just had to keep it that way. I know thats silly, but who cares right? Well, I took down my Christmas things today and now my front room is so clean and looks bigger. I'm glad this new year is here and I can have a fresh start. I have not really thought of any goals, but one and that is loose some weight and stop eating so much chocolate! I have eaten too much lately. I have not eaten any yet, so I'm off to a good start. Yeah! Oh wait, I did have a piece of a brownie at 12:30 last night. Oops! Well, Happy New Year everyone!
